Intsallation Of Wall Shelves On Plasterboard
Plasterboard wall fixing only.
It is important to find where the timber uprights are and might be spaced 400mm, 450mm apart.
Floating Shelves.
Floating Shelves have a wooden battern with dowels seen in the image bottom left. New holes can be drilled through this to line up with your studwork. Shelves must be longer than 500mm for this to work.
Metal Brackets.
Metal Brackets can be positioned on your studwork but can only be used on shelves over 500mm.
On smaller shelves you will always be able to find one timber stud (timber Upright) but might need to drill the second hole into the plasterboard. Please use plasterboard fixing for this hole.
